Service animals are exempt from the Courtyard’s pet fees. None of the hotels publishes rules for pets on its airport shuttle; ask when you book. The two in-terminal hotels are reached on foot from baggage claim.
Animals in the terminal
yyc.com allows animals outside their kennels on a non-retractable leash of 1.2 metres (four feet) or shorter, under care and control. Food courts, kids play areas and eating places require animals to be in a kennel, except certified service animals. Animals may not ride escalators or moving walkways unless carried or in a kennel. Outdoor relief areas are on the Arrivals level near Doors 1, 9 and 17. After security, relief areas are at the A gates near the Quiet Space, the D gates across from Chili’s and the E gates next to Gate E80; the B gates area is temporarily closed. Airline pet rules come from the airline.
Pets on Calgary Transit
Dogs ride Calgary Transit buses and CTrains free on a leash. Other animals ride free in a carrier or cage. Routes 100 and 300 serve the terminal; see Calgary Airport to downtown.
Service dogs in Alberta
Under Alberta’s Service Dogs Act, a qualified service dog team may enter places open to the public, including hotels, taxis and buses. alberta.ca sets a fine of up to C$3,000 for refusing access to a qualified service dog team, and asks handlers to carry their Service Dog ID card in public. The Alberta Human Rights Act requires providers of goods and services, hotels included, to accommodate people who use a qualified service dog or guide dog, to the point of undue hardship. Which Calgary Airport hotels do not accept pets?
Holiday Inn Express Airport Calgary and Hotel 11 by Sonesta Calgary Airport do not accept pets. Both accept service animals, and Holiday Inn Express asks for a copy of a service dog's valid registration. The other eight hotels on this site accept pets with fees and limits.
Can I stay with my dog inside Calgary Airport?
The Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel and Delta Hotels Calgary Airport In-Terminal are inside the airport and both accept up to two pets per room for C$75 per 1 to 3 day stay or C$150 for a 4 to 7 day stay. Delta sets a limit of 23 kg per pet; the Marriott publishes no usable weight limit.
Where are the pet relief areas at Calgary Airport?
